Covelong Beach 

The 100 km. long coastline of Goa is endowed with some of the loveliest beaches in the world. Tucked between the Western Ghats and the Arabian Sea. Goa blends scenic beauty with a latin heritage and a leisurely way of life. For the beach enthusiast, Goa is a veritable paradise that helps you discover an exciting new beach every day. And there is a wide variety of them - Colva, Betul, Dona Paula, Calangute, Gasper Dias, Baga, Anjuna, Bogmalo and Vagotor fringed with palms streching out in the horizon, while the sun beams to the merry dances of waves. There are several beach resorts in South, North Goa catering to the needs of all levels and to suit all pockets. Goa is connected by air with Delhi, Bombay, Bangalore, Cochin, Madras, Ahmedabad. Now there is a catamaran service operating between Bombay and Goa.

Covelong is a nice beach between Madras (Chennai) and Mahabalipuram and a small charming fishing settlement. It was originally a port built by Saadat Ali, Nawab of Carnatic and it was here that the French General Laboudonnais landed his troops in 1746. Later taken by Clive in 1752 and destroyed. The Beach is separated from the mainland by the canal running from Madras (Chennai) to Mahabalipuram. The Fisherman's Cove Resort with rooms in the main buildings and cottages and the sandy beach here is run by Taj Group of Hotels. An hours drive from Madras city or from the airport.

Kovalam Beach

Erangal Beach

A sheltered bay, Kovalam beach is just 16 kms. away from Trivandrum. A sheet of silvery and sand curves into an arc, that is bordered on one side and azure blue waters and on the other side, by a sumptuous spread of green palm groves. Kovalam Ashok Beach Resort is a unique concept in resort hotels and provides a complete holiday to the tourist. The Resort is cut into the hillside and spread out like a small village complete with facilities for water sports, yoga, traditional oil massage and special arrangements for Kathakali dances and other local entertainment. Mahabalipuram Beach

Mahabalipuram, also known, as "Mamallapuram" is 58-km, south of Chennai, nestling on the shores of the Bay of Bengal, possess many marvellous monuments with Sculptural Panels, Caves, Monolithic Rathas (chariots) and Temples.

The beach of Mahabalipuram attracts thousands of tourists throughout the year. While at the beach you may sun bathe, relax and unwind yourself. At the same time you may check out the magnificent monuments besides the beautiful beaches. The rock cut art is amazingly attractive. For the more religious tourists there are the shore temple, rathas, arjuna's penance that are worth visiting. A crocodile farm, snake venom extracting centre, schools of art and sculpture and a wide choice of resorts along the beach draw holiday-seekers all round the year.
